Bunny Island Rabbitry

Bunny Island Rabbitry is a small, ARBA-registered rabbitry located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and owned by the Jordan family. We currently raise Polish rabbits.

We first started with Mini Rex 12 years ago when our younger son Rioux wanted a rabbit. He did the research and decided he liked the Mini Rex breed. He joined 4-H and his first homegrown rabbit, Crown (a Broken Castor junior buck), won 1st, BOV, BOSB at the El Paso County Fair in 2002. The family became involved and our older son Travers also created a pedigree computer program for us.

The name, “Bunny Island,” was taken from games in an imaginary place that my husband Kenyon played with our sons, Travers and Rioux, using stuffed animals. And sometimes I joined in!
